Position Summary

Ticket sales for the City of Kingston pay-as-you-go skating programs (includes Public Skating, Shinny Hockey, Senior Skating and Parents & Tots Skating), cash handling, balancing ticket/pass sales, providing information on skating/Shinny Hockey programs, skating rules and associated fees;

Ensure professional and courteous approach to customer service ;

Liaise with Skate Patrol staff, facility staff and Supervisor to ensure timely information flow;

Monitor and record INVISTA Fitness Center Membership access to INVISTA public skating sessions;

Report incidents or issues to Supervisor;

Work locations include C70, INVISTA Center and the Memorial Centre Arenas.

Qualifications, Competencies

Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent education with two years of customer service and cash handling experience;

Must have and maintain a satisfactory CPIC is required at candidate’s expense;

Must demonstrate corporate competencies: Customer Focus, Results Orientation, Integrity, and Teamwork.

Skills, Abilities, Work Demands

Efficient/effective cash handling skills, with the ability to manage point of sales transactions in a non-computerized environment;

Must be able to work varied shifts and have reliable transportation;

Able to multi-task in a fast pace environment;

Excellent customer service skills;

Ability to work with minimal supervision.
